First Week: Updates & Last Chance for Spirit Wear
Important Information on Practice Starting
We are excited to welcome our Tidal Waves swimmers to practice on Tuesday (5/17)! A few important updates.
Since the contractor is still finishing the improvements to the Lakeview facility, we will be practicing at the Clubhouse pool for the first week of practice. We expect to return to Lakeview on Monday May 23. Please be aware that while we start practice this week, the pool is not yet “open” to those not practicing. This means siblings, etc. will not be allowed into the water and the baby pool will remain closed.
After School Practice: May 17 – June 16 *Updated***
Age Group Time
7-8 4:15 – 5:00
6 & Under 5:00 – 5:45
9-10 and 11-12 5:45 – 6:45
13 & Older 6:45 – 8:00
Our Coaches are happy to discuss your swimmers’ progress and needs, but please be mindful that practices are back to back and coaches do not have time between them. They are happy to schedule a time to chat. Coaches meeting for new and returning families will be on Thursday and Friday for the last 10 minutes of each practice. If possible, please try to attend one or the other of these meetings.
Coaches will evaluate the water temperature. Swimmers should come prepared for dryland and in water practice. Bring tennis shoes. Each swimmer should be in the habit of bringing a water bottle to practice.
Spirit Wear Orders Due Tomorrow
May 16 is the deadline for the order of Tidal Waves Spirit Wear. Order here
We are having a Mock Swim Meet on Sunday, June 5 at 6 PM. This will allow the new swimmers to see exactly what to expect in a swim meet. We will also take this time to explain everything to new families and answer any questions you may have. We also are planning some fun for the night. More to come soon!
Text Updates – Important
A text was just sent saying “Practice starts Tuesday…” to all registered contacts for your swimmer(s). If you did not receive it, please go to your swim portal and check your phone number. We use text messages for urgent weather related changes to practice, so please make sure this is correct.
